I grew up with three sisters and a brother in a home surrounded by cornfields and relatives. In fact, everywhere I turned there was a relative or a loud gathering.
This Is Now
Even though I’ve lived my entire adult life in a small city or suburb, I remain firmly grounded in the traditions of my farming family. Because so much of what I’ve learned and experienced as a child has flowed into my own home and family, I hope Riceford Streams will inspire you to create your own authentic home.
And if you’re wondering what I’m really like, my son suggests watching “The Goldbergs.” Evidently I’m a bit of a smother like Beverly, the Mother Warrior. But her hair is better hair than mine.
